Carlos Vides is an active member of the Greater Kansas City Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a member of the National Speakers Association, and a rising Professional Motivational Speaker. He is the author of What It Takes and is passionately building his career to inspire others. Carlos has been married to Michelle Vides for 25 years, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Isabella (24) and Gabriela (19), both students at the University of Kansas. Carlos emigrated to the United States from Honduras at just 16 years old in 1990, arriving alone and unable to speak English. He lived in Long Island, NY, where he overcame the language barrier by working tirelessly, listening to ESL cassettes during the day, and attending night classes to improve his English. In 1991, he began working at Dunkin’ Donuts and, by 1998, relocated to Kansas City to work as a baker at Price Chopper. In 2000, he transitioned into sales at Cable Dahmer Chevrolet, where his dedication and ambition set him apart. In 2009, Carlos began a new chapter as an Insurance Agent with New York Life Insurance Company, later advancing to the role of Marketing Development Consultant. With years of experience and expertise in sales, he is deeply passionate about mentoring and developing sales professionals. He also works closely with small business owners in Kansas City and surrounding areas, advising them on strategies to attract and retain clients. Drawing from his personal story of immigration and overcoming challenges, Carlos uses his journey to inspire others, especially young Latinos. Through his speeches and community engagement, he demonstrates that hard work, perseverance, and gratitude can overcome any obstacle. Norby Forero is a Latina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with advanced clinical mental health education who uniquely combines her expertise with magic to illustrate psychological dynamics. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Human Resources, a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Post-Master’s certification in Child Play Therapy, and an ABD (All But Dissertation) Doctorate in Professional Counseling. Norby began her professional journey in the business world, climbing the corporate ladder and managing multi-million-dollar contracts in the tech industry. However, feeling unfulfilled, she transitioned to the helping profession of counseling, where she has since amassed over a decade of experience in psychology. Alongside her work as a therapist, Norby has held senior executive leadership roles in national mental health organizations. Currently, she focuses her efforts on empowering the Latinx community and other marginalized groups by addressing stigmas and debunking myths about mental health through her YouTube channel, Pregúntale a Norby. Her mission is to make psychology accessible, equipping people with the knowledge and tools they need to tackle life’s challenges and become the best versions of themselves. Norby is passionate about spreading quality mental health information to help individuals face obstacles with confidence and resilience."**
Gerardo Castaneda, originally from El Salvador, immigrated to the United States in July 2014, embarking on a journey of personal and professional growth. With a career rooted in cloud computing, he has specialized as a DevOps Engineer since 2016, mastering Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Solutions. Gerardo is renowned for architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures that meet diverse business needs. In 2023, he founded DTL Global LLC, a technology company dedicated to delivering comprehensive AWS solutions with a focus on website design and provisioning. Through DTL Global, Gerardo empowers businesses by crafting tailored, reliable, and efficient web platforms that drive success in the digital era."**
